Mountain Way Zen

Jeff-3inMountain Way Zen makes its first apperance on the Web in April. The group is founded by Fa Xing Shakya of the Order of Hsu Yun, who continues to have the largest prison ministry in the Pacific Northwest. He explains: "We are wayfarers from various faiths and walks of life whose spiritual explorations have led us to the practices and teachings of Zen Buddhism. Because everyday life is Zen practice, and because everyday life is different for everyone, we are primarily independent seekers going about our day-to-day lives. We come together as our schedules allow, to practice various meditative disciplines together, to support each other in our efforts, and to renew our sense of community. Because we feel an abiding respect for – and connection to – the natural world, much of our practice involves wandering and dwelling in wild places."
