    You might be interested in "Original Tao", a translation of pre-Tao Te Ching instructions in meditation and self-cultivation.

    "Original Tao" was translated/written by Harold Roth, and is published by Columbia University Press.

    There is no doubt that Chan and the Dao have a long history.
