Wisdom is universal. In this section of the website we post literary contributions from Religious leaders around the world as a way to recognize the beauty inherent in all religions, and the universal nature of religion as a reflection of our existance as spiritual beings. We thank Christian Minister, The Rev. Graeme Chapman, for contributing the first essay to this series, Fullness of Being: How We Know." May we all come together in a unifying embrace of our True Nature.

The Ambitious Violet
by Khalil Gibran
posted January 4, 2008
A Lebanese-American essayist, novelist, poet, and artist, Khalil Gibran
has becoming, post-humorously, one of the greatest Lebanese-American mystics of modern times. Born in 1883 in the mountains of Lebanon, he immigrated to the United States in 1895 where he became involved in the fine arts and in literature. He has written a great number of mystical works now often referenced in sermons and philosophical journals worldwide. His insight into mankind's spiritual nature is vividly rendered in his paintings, poems, and essays.
